As the top performers in one of the strongest Latin cohorts in our school’s history, we are confident that we can help guide you from the grassroots of VCE Latin – fundamental grammar points and navigating the basic idiosyncrasies of different Roman authors – to flourish at the end of 3/4, where the content transforms into that of a more literature-based subject. Additionally, we recognize the importance of nurturing a self-driven approach to studying Latin. This is especially crucial because Latin ultimately demands discipline. While we will provide resources and walkthroughs for unseen translations, the acquisition of anything substantial can only happen when students can find a way to cement that knowledge. What this requires usually is a clear roadmap to navigate the vast expanse of the language and this roadmap is exactly what we aim to provide. We have distilled VCE Latin grammar into its simplest form in our notes. We have also set up a progression for unseens which will make revision more effective as less time needs to be spent identifying how to revise.
