Raw 50 + Premier’s VCE Award in Mathematical Methods
In 2023 I accelerated Maths Methods as a Yr 11. As someone completely new to VCE without clear direction on how to score as best as I could, I spent countless hours crafting a process to master Maths Methods. As a tutor, my vision is to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for my students, turning those daunting Math questions into routine. I also want to share my expert experience and techniques that helped me to score both a Raw 50 and a Premier’s VCE Award so that you too can achieve your very best. I strongly believe that with enough determination, grit and my personalised support, Methods is a subject that anyone can succeed in.
What do I offer?
- Teaching focused on understanding:
- Succeeding in VCE Methods requires that you not only fully grasp the concepts but also the reasoning behind WHY and HOW certain solutions are the way that they are. Therefore, my teaching is based on understanding and not memorisation, so that you have the toolkit and thought process that allows you to tackle any VCE maths question.
- Special tips and tricks to optimise your marks:
- The reality is that VCE – to an extent – is a game about marks and reducing careless errors. In order for you to perform at your very best, you need to make sure you can get all the marks that you 100% CAN get and my lessons will have a strong focus on mitigating those pesky silly mistakes.
- Lessons with a balanced focus on strengthening all aspects of VCE Methods: time pressure, problem-solving, CAS skills, etc.
- A plethora of resources which provide you with ample exam-style question experience + ‘separator’ question coverage + awareness of common traps/mistakes.
- 24/7 support outside of class.
- Free advice for other subjects.

Raw 44 Mathematical Methods
With Methods being my first glimpse of a 3/4, I didn’t have a clear roadmap for excelling in VCE, so I spent a lot of hours figuring out what worked for me. I worked alongside mentors and tutors to really ground my understanding on how to effectively navigate academics. I worked alongside my peers to see how common pitfalls would arise, both in assessments as well as in the studying that went into them. Now, as a tutor, I want to share the knowledge I’ve acquired during this period and make math feel less intimidating and more approachable. My goal is to help you build confidence and turn tricky questions into something you can handle easily. I’ll share not just the tips and techniques that helped me score a Raw 44 but also where I know I was lacking so you can avoid the same mistakes.
What do I offer?
